Bob Lessin Wins 2011 Intrepid Award

 

BEND, OR  (August 12, 2011) Bob Lessin, Business Representative for IUPAT Local 831 was awarded the EACA Intrepid Award at its 13th Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL last week.


The EACA Intrepid Award is given to the individual, company, or consortium, who, by a vote of the EACA membership has contributed the most to the cause of customer service in the trade show industry.

"Bob could be a recipient of this award every year for his tireless efforts to create excellence in the showfloor workforce in Southern California, where Local 831 services trade shows from San Diego to Pasadena," said Jim Wurm, Executive Director of  the EACA.    "In fact, this year represented the 6th time that Bob has been nominated for this award recognizing Bob's contributions to the development of a worldclass training program for showfloor workers.   EACA member labor contractors routinely sing the praises of the Decorators in Southern California.   That is why all of us at the EACA are so proud of his achievements," Wurm said. 

The EACA Intrepid Award has been awarded annually at the EACA's Annual Meeting since the inception of the association as part of the EACA's mission to  "raise the level of service excellence on the showfloor."

 The EACA seeks to unite the nation's tradeshow community by representing and supporting the interests of EACs and other exhibits services professionals that work on the tradeshow floor.   The association is currently comprised of more than 225 member companies representing more than 15,000 full time trade show professionals, and more than 50,000 part time trade show workers.

 

The association is headquartered in Bend, Oregon.

Nuvista Wins First Annual Member of the Year Award 

 

BEND, OR  (August 15, 2011) Nuvista was presented with the EACA's First Annual Member of the Year Award,  which was accepted by Nuvista President, Amanda Helgemoe, at the 13th Annual  Meeting in Orlando, Fl last week.

"We're pleased to recognize Nuvista with our first ever Member of the Year Award," said Jim Wurm, Executive Director of the EACA.    "The Member of the Year Award recognizes Nuvista for their outstanding service to the association, for their efforts to support the mission of the association,  and for routinely representing all the values of the EACA in the way they service their clients and all other industry stakeholders," Wurm explained. 

Additional factors which influence the selection of the EACA Member of the Year include:

•  Volunteer service on National Board and/or Chapter Boards                      

•  Attendance at national and local meetings                                                

•  Sponsorship of national and/or local meetings                                          

•  Membership referrals                                                                                    

•  Activity on and contribution of content to EACA web site.                       


In addition to being presented with a commemorative plaque at the EACA Annual Meeting, Nuvista will be recognized on the "Member of the Year" page on the EACA web site and will receive a 50% discount on their 2012 EACA member dues.

The Exhibitor Appointed Contractors Association is the tradeshow industry's only association dedicated solely to "raising the level of service excellence on the showfloor."

The EACA seeks to unite the nation's tradeshow community by representing and supporting the interests of EACs and other exhibits services professionals that work on the tradeshow floor.   The association is currently comprised of more than 200 member companies representing more than 12,500 full time trade show professionals, and more than 45,000 part time trade show workers.
