Group Pages

Welcome to the home page of E2MA Las Vegas!

Las Vegas rocks the trade show industry, and so does the E2MA Las Vegas Chapter.   We encourage all E2MA members in Las Vegas to use this page to connect, ask questions, discuss the issues of the day and find ways to increase the trade show value proposition for all exhibit and event marketers.

Please feel free to offer new thoughts and ideas on how we can make this site more useful as we work together to "raise the level of service excellence on the showfloor"

Copies of the newly reached agreement packages are being mailed to EACs in Las Vegas for signatures this week.

MC2 wrote on the EACA Chapters: Las Vegas wall: It appears that the group of EAC's have finally reached a tentative agreement with Teamster Local 631 and the newly elected leadership team in Las Vegas. Several EAC companies were represented by legal council during the meeting on Wednesday (January 18) and the last few sessions with the former Officers of 631 and had very little movement since the contract expired in May of 2011. The newly elected officers have acknowledged the specialized needs of the Displaymen/I&D journeyman worker classification and immediate focus on certifying and compiling a list of such qualified extra board workers. The former I&D Certification Panel will be resurrected to expedite this process. The current EAC community in Las Vegas employs an aggregate total of 50% of the teamster work force during each Tradeshow. The long standing need to dispatch skilled Displayman/I&D Journeymen for EAC's has been stepped over and ignored as an important component of the last 4-5 contract negotiations, where main emphasis was focus on the General Service Contractors. With the help of the new team in office now, the EAC's will work closely with the President of Local 631 and the new dispatch software to assist in identifying Displaymen and insuring that this class of worker will be dispatched to EAC's and eliminating other categories of workers who aren't certified or skilled in I&D and prefer not to work in I&D.
